ORLANDO / VOTE

I was so impressed that Orlando Mayoral Candidate Paul Paulson actually called me back this morning; immediately, in fact, while I was leaving him a voicemail.  Then, he tried two more times, as I took yet a different call coming in.
Not quite convinced as to who I would be voting for in tomorrow’s election, I took Mr. Paulson up on his publicly made invitation to reach out to him on his cell phone, with any issues or concerns.  And not only am I impressed that he called me back, even without hearing my voicemail, but when I did voice my concern about an issue that virtually goes unnoticed, and under-publicized, he too expressed concern and commented that, “you’re right, not one person has raised that issue.”
The issue being that Orlando has one of the highest HIV infection rates in the nation (#8), and what is being done to correct this, and why isn’t enough light shed on this issue?
As Orlando consistently enjoys the highest tourism rate in the world, it’s understandable, in one sense, that Orlando would not be eager to fly that flag of fame. Yet, to not bring it into the light is to allow its victims to suffer and let the problem fester.  AIDS cannot be the forgotten disease.  It won’t let us.  Advances in medicine and treatment continue to improve, but the disease persists and will persist unless more is done to eradicate it, and at the very least, to catch it at its earliest stages, if not prior to its inception. And this must be undertaken in all communities.
I was teetering on the edge of voting for Mr. Paulson, and he tipped me in the right direction.  He immediately mentioned the problem causes and areas, and agreed that this issue needs more attention.  But he did something else, he reminded me that we’re all in this together and asked what I can do, and what are some of my ideas. He reminded me that I matter. And so do you.
If you live in the City of Orlando, don’t forget to vote.
And remember that World AIDs Day is December 1st.
We all matter.

vacant land doesn’t depreciate

Do you know that most of the wealth in America historically has been borne from those with the foresight to invest in Vacant Land?   And in the strictest sense, vacant land does not depreciate. Market values may lower it slightly and temporarily in value, but it has no inherent depreciating factor. I continue to tout one particular community in the Greater Orlando area to my favorite investors, as being the best place to invest your money.   If   95% off of original purchase price a mere few years ago, on a stunning lot in one of the premier, flagship communities of a major developer appeals to you, please contact me immediately.   A new owner is in the works for this phenomenal world-class amenities community.
