ORLANDO / VOTE

I was so impressed that Orlando Mayoral Candidate Paul Paulson actually called me back this morning; immediately, in fact, while I was leaving him a voicemail.  Then, he tried two more times, as I took yet a different call coming in.  Not quite convinced as to who I would be voting for in tomorrow’s election, I took Mr. Paulson up on his publicly made invitation to reach out to him on his cell phone, with any issues or concerns.  And not only am I impressed that he called me back, even without hearing my voicemail, but when I did voice my concern about an issue that virtually goes unnoticed, and under-publicized, he too expressed concern and commented that, “you’re right, not one person has raised that issue.”   The issue being that Orlando has one of the highest HIV infection rates in the nation (#8), and what is being done to correct this, and why isn’t enough light shed on this issue?   As Orlando consistently enjoys the highest tourism rate in the world, it’s understandable,

Or what if the ball hits a person on the property? – Burt Answer: The law requires that the golfer act reasonably and use ordinary care when playing. All of the golfers on the course, whether hitting the ball or walking to their next shot, are expected to be careful to keep themselves and their fellow players safe. If the golfer is playing normally and accidentally hits another person or a neighboring house, there is no recourse for the injury or damage. By choosing to live on a golf course, you are accepting the risk that comes with that. But if the golfer is messing around or intentionally aiming at the house, he or she would be held responsible. Generally the golf course is off the hook as well, as long as management uses care in the design and operation of the course. If, however, your problems started only after the course made
